One of my favorite local places to hike. Lot's of wildlife , beautiful wildflower fields in the spring and summer. winter is great for snow shoeing .
Grerat park for all ages. Areas with boardwalk along the mill pond and paved paths for easy hiking connect with longer unpaved trails. A combination of wooded and open space. Free admission; parking can be limited but there are a couple of small lots on Shep Jones lane. A barn hosts events.
Good for walking/running trails. Very good if you want some alone time or bonding time with loved ones. Or just plain exercise. Plus entrance is free!
Awesome trails and beautiful flower fields. Great for a hike or jog. Also great for a picnic or some relaxation while enjoying nature. Lake at the bottom of the stair usually has water fowl and turtles/fish near bridge. Trails and fields have occasional deer or pheasant .
This is the type of place you hesitate to write a review of because it's so amazing you don't want it to get too popular. This place is so quaint and peaceful especially on weekdays. It's a lot more busy on weekends but still makes for a nice easy hike. In the summer be sure to watch for ticks on your dog. And there are no trash cans on the trail so be ready to pack out anything you bring.
